Terms of Service

By accessing or using ortolansfo.com (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old and authorised to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. By signing in via LinkedIn you confirm that the information shared with us is accurate.

Authentication is provided through LinkedIn. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the LinkedIn account associated with your access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or harm other users.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, harvest or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or harassing purposes.
• Attempt to circumvent security or rate limits.
• Resell or commercially redistribute content without our written permission.

All content on the Service — including the visual design, curated directory data, written copy and software — is owned by Ortolan or licensed to it. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

If you provide content (profile information, event registrations, messages), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and process that content solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share whatever you upload.

The Service relies on third-party providers (e.g. LinkedIn for authentication, Vercel and Supabase for hosting). Their respective terms and privacy policies apply alongside ours.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data shown is complete or current. Information about third parties is aggregated from public sources for informational purposes only.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ortolan and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold Ortolan harmless from any claim, damage or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access for breach of these Terms, fraud, or any reason that protects the integrity of the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of St. Gallen, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
